Effects of Weather

When on the plane, the rain drops against the windows were great to focus my camera on to create a hazy effect on the buildings in the background. I love the way this makes you look more closely at the rain.

Dublin urban landscape

In this photo I wanted to show the height of the bridge and the contrasting angle  of the support ropes. The support ropes clearly show the depth in the photo.

Diffuse glow Trafalgar Square

In this piece I wanted to create a crisper more refined view of Trafalgar Square.

December sunrise

The amazing contrast of colour I wanted to capture in these photos as the sun rose. 

Cut out Trafalgar Square

I I liked the cutout effect from Photoshop on my photo as it simplifies the shapes in the photo  

The Shard/cloud study at 7:00am

In this photo I wanted to capture the oppressive clouds in contrast with the height of the shard.
When using Photoshop I was able to use filters to emphasise the colours in the clouds and also the colours reflected off the glass of the shard.
The first photo is the original, and the others go up in contrast, the last photo being the most intense.
